Many clients believe their piano is being properly serviced. But in reality, the instrument can remain in critical condition for years: the tone is uneven, the action isn’t regulated, the tuning is superficial or hasn’t been done at all. On one of my recent calls, the client had exactly this situation. He was convinced the instrument had been maintained, but in fact I had to start everything from scratch. I showed him each stage of the work: where regulation was missing, where the tone was uneven. This is a common picture — many instruments go years without proper care, yet people still believe that “everything is fine. ”My job is to restore the instrument fully: complete regulation, tuning, and fixing underlying issues. For a fair price, the client receives a full set of professional work that others either skipped or performed carelessly. The result is immediately noticeable — the instrument sounds and functions the way it should, and the client sees the difference with their own eyes. Today a client told me: “Everything is perfectly tuned, only two hammers are sticking.” In reality, the instrument was in critical condition: no regulation, uneven tone, and almost no trace of previous work. We went through everything from the beginning: full regulation, tuning, tone work. I showed the client each step, explained how the problems were fixed, and he tested the results by playing. In the end, he was amazed — the instrument sounded perfect. Unfortunately, this is a common situation: many pianos go years without proper maintenance, and owners continue to believe they have a “good tuning.” My job is to fix all accumulated issues, show the real condition of the instrument, and restore its full sound and performance. Today another client complained: “The hammers are sticking, the keys don’t work — terrible!” I suggested he try to identify the problem himself and explained that it was a simple task. He tried but couldn’t manage — the hammers were catching on each other. I fixed it quickly. But that wasn’t the end. It turned out the tuning was completely off, even though the instrument had supposedly been regulated just two months earlier. The octaves and unisons sounded awful, yet the client insisted everything was fine. We went through the full process again: regulation, tuning, tone balancing. The client tested the result and was stunned — the instrument finally sounded the way it should. This is a typical situation: many pianos remain improperly serviced for years, and owners continue to believe they have a “proper tuning.” My work is to correct everything, show the true condition, and bring the instrument back to full sound and proper function.
